History:
The Big Peach Swing Band is a group of Atlanta area musicians dedicated to maintaining the big band music of the past, present, and future as a vibrant part of American culture. The band was founded in 1996 by John (Jack) Miller, Conductor and Music Director of the group's parent organization, the Atlanta Concert Band with the assistance of Charles Sims, who currently serves as Music Director for the Big Peach.

The Big Peach Swing Band has performed for wedding receptions and conventions in many of Atlanta's ballrooms; at jazz and arts festivals - including the Stone Mountain Jazz Festival and the Inman Park Arts Festival; and has aided many civic organizations in their fund raising efforts.
The band maintains an extensive and widely varied selection of music including everything from the swing and jazz standards of the 30's and 40's to funk, rock, disco, Latin, and much more.
